ITINERARY
- DAY 1: Welcome to Italy!
Upon arrival meet your personal driver who will escort
to your Hotel.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight
- DAY 2: Breakfast at the Hotel and departure to Pompeii, the
famous archaeological excavations, the Roman city
both destroyed and preserved by an eruption of Mount
Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Enjoy the lunch in a characteristic restaurant close
Pompeii and then proceed to Vesuvius, the most famous
volcano in the world. After reached by bus an altitude
1000 m, continue on a walking path with a volcanologist
guide, totally immersed in nature and enjoying a
breathtaking view.
Proceed back to Naples and enjoy a short guided tour
through the historic city center.
Overnight.
- DAY 3: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Riviera dei Cedri
to discover San Nicola Arcella, a small seaside town
founded by the Normans.The route continues towards
Diamante, ‘the city of chili pepper’.
Enjoy a guided tour through the narrow streets of the
small fishing village to admire the famous murals and
walk along the sea promenade.
Lunch in a typical restaurant in Diamante to taste some
chili-based specialties.
Stop en route in Paola, one of the most important
destinations of the religious tourism in Calabria, where
Saint Francis of Paola was born. Admire various works
and buildings such as the 17th-century like the fountain
in Piazza del Popolo, the ancient clock tower, the baroque
facade of the church of Madonna di Montevergine and
finally the birthplace of Saint Francis.
Visit of the Saint Francis of Paola Sanctuary and
discover his history.
Transfer to the area of Pizzo, Overnight
- DAY 4: Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit of Pizzo, a charming little town overlooking the
Costa degli Dei. The tour will start from the suggestive
Church of Piedigrotta, visit of the historical center,
which offers beautiful views over the coast below and
the Gioacchino Murat Castle.
Stop for a typical lunch and tasting of the renowned
‘Tartufo’ ice cream.
Proceed to Zungri, visit its famous caves, a unique rock
settlement in Calabria of the twelfth and fourteenth
centuries and Tropea, ‘the City of the Turquoise Sea’,
famous for its white beaches, the Sanctuary of Santa
Maria dell’Isola and its touristic harbour where it is
possible to admire vessels, luxury yachts and fishing
boats.
Transfer to Hotel in the area of Pizzo, Overnight.
- DAY 5: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Reggio Calabria,
known for the interesting optical phenomenon of the
‘Fata Morgana’ and Riace bronzes, unique masterpiece
of greek style. Once here, enjoy a guided tour of the
National Museum of Magna Graecia and admire the
famous Riace Bronzes and other archeological treasures
buried under the Mediterranean Sea.
Stop for lunch in a typical restaurant.
After lunch, enjoy a walk along the Falcomatà sea
promenade, known as ‘the most beautiful kilometer in
Italy’, with a view of the Strait of Messina.
Proceed to Scilla, place rich of myths and legenda
mentioned in the Divina Commedia. Enjoy a guided visit
of Castello Ruffo and Chianalea area, an ancient and
charming fishing district with houses directly on the sea.
Transfer to Hotel in the area of Pizzo, Overnight.
- DAY 6: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Reggio Calabria,
known for the interesting optical phenomenon of the

- DAY 7: Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Capo Rizzuto
isle. Discover an amazing guided tour of the Aragonese
Castle, a fortress served as a shelter for soldiers who
fought against invaders from the sea.
Proceed to the historic center, admire its typical
medieval architectures and its medieval gate that divides
the old part from the new one.
Transfer to the Senatore estate to taste the famous
Cirò DOC wine, enjoy guided tour of the estate. At the
end be delighted by a wine tasting accompanied by rich
aperitif with local products.
Transfer to Hotel in the area of Matera, Overnight
- DAY 8: Breakfast at the hotel and stop in Matera, UNESCO
World Heritage site and European Capital of Culture
2019.
Visit to the Sassi, the ancient city completely carved
out of the limestone rock, then short stop for a
typical Lucan products tasting and lunch with genuine
traditional dishes.
Long distance transfer to Hotel in Rome, Overnight
- DAY 9: Breakfast at the Hotel and meet your private driver
who will escort you to the airport for your onward flight.
